While watching a documentary about Japan I saw a bamboo forest. I felt a great sense of calm here. I wanted to capture and represent this calm. For me, the Shiba Inu, which faithfully waits for its human, exudes a similar calmness. I combined both to convey this feeling to the viewer of the picture.
